Overview
By reading or using this website or any of our services, you indicate your acceptance and agreement with these Terms & Conditions of Pickleball Coaching Australia (‘PCA’) the registered Business Name of Life by Design P/L (ACN 55 056 752 295). PCA is owned by Life by Design P/L as one of its many passion projects and social causes to help create a better world and save more lives through its contributions to organisations such as CPRfriendly.org.
If you do not accept these Terms & Conditions, please do not use this website or any of our services.
Acceptance
By booking and/or registering interest in any Pickleball Coaching Australia (‘PCA’) products, programs or services you accept these terms and conditions, and hereby authorise the staff and team of PCA to act for you according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention. You release PCA from any and all liability for injury or illness and costs, incurred while undertaking a product, program, service or event with PCA. You agree with PCA’s cancellation, fee, weather, COVID, vaccination, involvement, and privacy policy.
Booking Confirmations & Fees
In order to secure your booking for any of our programs, PCA requires that you complete our online booking registration, pre-session questionnaire and make payment prior. This secures your coach, venue, equipment and any other resourcing and admin required prior.
Cancellation Policy
Please be considerate and aware that late cancellation of sessions can lead to logistical issues for everyone and potential lost opportunities for other coaching clients wanting sessions and possible PCA financial loss. This policy is to deter people from preventing those clients who are seeking coaching from missing an opportunity to access a session.
Private Coaching
If you are unable to attend your private coaching session due to illness or emergency etc. you please notify your coach prior to your session/lesson. Otherwise we will endeavour to make up private coaching sessions if your PCA coach is notified 48 hours prior to the start of your lesson and PCA is not out of pocket due to lost court hire.
Notification of absence or arrangement of a make-up can be made directly with your coach. All missed private coaching sessions, if given the appropriate 48 hours notice, will be rescheduled ASAP. If this cannot be done a credit or refund can be discussed with your coach.
Group Coaching Programs, Clinics & Series
Due to the logistical nature of group coaching programs and the need to pre-book court hire / venues, if you have to cancel your registration for any reason, our refund policy (apart from the Australian Pickleball Academy, which has its own separate Terms & Conditions) is as follows:
30+ days notice: 100% refund
30-15 days notice: 75% refund
14 days or less notice: 0% refund
Unfortunately, no part refunds can be provided for non-attendance of a group series or weekly sessions. But if you are unable to attend, you can gift it to someone else of a similar pickleball standard (in consultation with your coach). Just please contact your coach in advance to discuss.
In addition if a group coaching clinic, program or series does not reach the required minimum number of participants (as determined by PCA), PCA may have to cancel. Notice of cancellation will be given via email, usually asap prior to the commencement of the coaching clinic, program or series. Also, group coaching may have to be cancelled due to situations out of our control (e.g health issues, local regulations, weather and emergencies etc). In this case, you will be notified as soon as it becomes apparent to PCA. In both of these cases, a full refund will be issued.
Introduction to Pickleball
These sessions are non-refundable fundraisers for CPR awareness and community education (CPRfriendly.org) and failure to notify your non-attendance prior to your session may void your ability to re-book.
Australian Pickleball Academy Residential Programs
Please note that due to the uniqueness of our Australian Pickleball Academy Residential Programs, they have their own separate Terms & Conditions which are provided on booking each residential program.
Weather Communications
Please be aware that your safety is our primary concern. So, where possible a weather confirmation update will be posted 60 minutes prior to your session via this Weather Update page.
Your coach may also contact you ASAP via email or phone/text message to let you know if your session will be cancelled, postponed or rescheduled due to weather conditions (rain, wind, heat etc). But the Weather Update page is best for all latest weather condition notifications.
Unless otherwise stated on the weather updates page, please presume your coaching session is going ahead as normal. PCA has a policy for all coaches to avoid using mobile phones during coaching sessions.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. The data collected from you will not be sold, exchanged or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent. Although the email address and number you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
But please keep in mind, when joining a PCA program at a participating PCA venue your information may be used by the venue/club to join you, for a venue/club access membership. This will also entitle you to use the courts at the venue/club during your coaching and depending on the venue/club may give you personal accident insurance.
Health & Safety
PCA respects the views and personal choices of each person, but that said, we strive at all times, to be a safe and health-conscious environment for all participants and our team and are guided by State Health advice. As such, we appreciate and recognise the seriousness of COVID-19 and its impact on all our lives. So, please abide by all State Health guidelines, where masks and use the QR check-ins as required. Please stay home if you are feeling unwell. Hopefully, these health measures will help address risks for all participants.
Due to the nature of pickleball it naturally lends itself to be a reasonably COVID safe sport; with the opportunity for it to be being played outdoors with distance between participants with minimal if any sharing of equipment.

Medical Liability
You hereby authorise the PCA to act for you according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention. You release PCA from any and all liability for injury or illness and costs, incurred while undertaking a program or event with PCA.
Photography & Video Images
You acknowledge that PCA may use video analysis and photography during their coaching programs and events. You acknowledge and agree that this usage, including for marketing & promotion purposes, is without compensation or notice to myself. Images may be used on our website, social media and other promotional material.
Copyright & Trademark
This site and the information it contains, including, but not limited to, articles, blog posts, designs, drawings, illustrations, photographs, videos, opinions, text, guides, trademarks, trade names, service marks and logos ("Protected Information") are in the majority the property of Pickleball Coaching Australia (PCA), its contributors, and licensors and are protected from unauthorised use, copying, distribution and dissemination by Australian copyright law, trademark law, international conventions, and other intellectual property laws. All rights reserved. You may not use our Protected Information without PCA's express written consent.
Terms & Conditions Changes
